The history of Winecage

Winecage, the history of the winery.

My name is Simone, I am a young guy from Genoa who has made a choice, to follow his dream. And so, I left my job, made up of schedules, offices, a big city and my apartment, and I moved to a very small reality in the lower Piedmont. In a few years I learned a lot, the techniques, the differences between the vines, how to recognize the vines in strength and those that instead need treatments. I also learned the work in the cellar, to transfer, to bottle and label. The days had changed, I followed the time that dictated nature, and no longer that of the clock. And so I continued year after year to improve myself, more and more, learning from those who have always done this work, understanding what the vines communicate to us through their leaves, their colors. I began to understand those little tricks that allow grapes to grow healthy and, consequently, produce healthy and genuine DOC wines, worthy of ending up on the tables. In the following years, the gamble: to create my own cellar, to produce my own wines.

Today, thanks to this choice, I have managed to bring these productions to national and international tables, a sign that the fruit of work is also appreciated outside the Italian borders.
